Ireland - Newgrange - First prayers

Located in the Meath county is one of the world oldest pre historic sites. This monument was built  in order for the sun to enter the last chamber of the complex in the shortest day of the year ( winter solstice ). Researchers say that this complex was build around 3000 AD. This monument is older than the Quéops Pyramid or the Stonehenge. The place was mainly used as a tomb but also a place of worship to the sun, one of the main cults at the time.
